Hometown Knives Damascus skinner hand crafted to appeal all hunters. HTK-32 skinner has over 25 hrs of work into it including forging, filing, fitting, grinding, polishing. The dark micarta scales are locked in place with the multiple stainless steel pins and mosiac brass pins to the handle, and topped off with a damascus bolster. The handle is smooth with no steps and feels natural when held in the hand. The knife is weighted to have a balance point just above the bolster, to better help in long skinner jobs. Impressive workmanship on this knife!

Recommended Knife Maintenance:
Sharpening: Can be performed with any system, recommend the use of oil on 22.5deg fixtures
Surface treatment: Recommend that the knife is not kept in the sheath and in dry environment. In case rust develops, remove with steel wool or 3M 1000 grit pads with oil and use metal polish to prevent from reoccurring.

Are your blades made to be used or just display
Every item in our shop is made to be used. We use 1095 HC and 4340 HT steels in our damascus steel and quench and temper it to 58 HRc.
Custom and personalized orders
We can customize any blade. the charge for engraving is $20 per side and it takes us 2 days to fulfil that requirement.

Very good looking knife. So far I am very pleased with the workmanship. The only down side that stopped it from getting 5 stars is that it did not come with the pictured sheath.
