Hometown Knives Damascus Chef Knife is handcrafted and forged to perform. The Rain Drop SANMAI Damascus steel is hand forged with combinations of 1095 High Carbon Steel and 4340HT forming over 250+ layers. We oil quench and deferentially temper the edge of the blade to a hardness of 60+ Rockwell C. Some of the many Damascus steel advantages include the following: Blade edge resistance from the harder steel, micro serrations from the alternating layers, ductility from the 4340HT.
Impressive workmanship that will turn heads. Light and beautiful. It comes with a custom sheath that grabs the Dagger with a snug fit and the clip locks it in place.

Maintenance Recommendations:
- Store in a dry environment and NOT in the sheath for a long period of time to prevent rust.
- Oil or use Flitz polish to keep the shine and prevent the blade from rusting
- To sharpen use 17-20 deg angles or finer grit stones to hone the edge

Are your blades made to be used or just display
Every item in our shop is made to be used. We use 1095 HC and 4340 HT steels in our damascus steel and quench and temper it to 58 HRc.
Custom and personalized orders
We can customize any blade. the charge for engraving is $20 per side and it takes us 2 days to fulfil that requirement.

We ordered this to replace our daily use kitchen knife. As artists, we also wanted something beautiful. There's a lot more black color on our blade than the photo, but it just makes it more unique. Thank you for the functional piece of art. The tip of the blade got slightly damaged in shipping, but we can easily fix it.
